For the last 4 years I have had the honor of being the president of a non-profit organization called the Volta Revival Foundation which works along the Volta river and lake in Ghana West Africa. For me the Volta Revival Foundation is all about building bridges, we know that communities are powerful, we know that they know the solutions to the problems which plague them; what most of the rural fishing communities that we work with don't have is the funding and management necessary to implementing said solutions. That's where the Volta Revival Foundation comes in, we work towards empower communities by co-creating solutions to the same old education and human rights problems and providing the funding and organization necessary for the projects implementation. In these last years of work with this organization I can tell you that you will not find a more transparent and financially honest organization with the true heart and aspiration of creating lasting and holistic change!
I would like to take this opportunity to personally invite you to our annual concert and fundraiser ‘A Night in Ghana’ a West African art auction featuring Okaidja high-life trio, and fundraising for our trafficked 2 school project which will sponsor 12 students and survivors of fishing slavery in Ghana. The event will be an arts and compassion based experience never likely to be forgotten!
Please join me at a Night in Ghana on August 29th, 2019
