Call For Writing and Art Submissions

The Volta Revival Foundation is making a call for art and writing submissions for the first volume of ‘Ada is the People: art and writings of hope, resistance, and strength’ this issue of the magazine will focus on the power of Adano with the main theme being hope, resistance and strength. The magazine will give up-and-coming writers and artists the ability to showcase their work and talent in a book which will be seen all over the world!

 

Please share with talented friends and loved ones for the chance to be selected and published in ‘Ada is the People: art and writings of hope, resistance, and strength’!

 

There shall be four categories, the best of each shall receive the following reward:

 

-Best Adult Writing: the first place winner of this category will receive a prize of 100 GHC

 

-Best Adult Art: the first place winner of this category will receive a prize of 100 GHC

 

-Best Children’s Writing (Ages 5-16): the top three in this category will receive a school stipend of 30 GHC

 

-Best Children’s Art (Ages 5-16): the top three in this category will receive a school stipend of 30 GHC

 

Rules and guidelines:

 

Submit by May 31, 2018

 

Submit your work electronically by sending it to Voltarevival@gmail.com with your full name, age, and contact information, or come to our office across from Goil filling station Monday through Friday 9am-5pm. If you are selected as a winner for your work, the Volta Revival Foundation will contact you directly concerning your prize.

 

Works written in local languages are allowed and encouraged as a submission as long as they are accompanied by an English translation.

 

Every participant is allowed to submit as many pieces as they like.

Once submitted, the Volta Revival Foundation reserves the right to use the materials for the magazine weather or not the participant is selected as the winner in a category.
